Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac (fixed against actual star positions) and the Lahiri ayanamsa correction, while Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac (season-based). This shift of roughly 23–24 degrees means your Vedic signs are often different from your Western ones.
